  3. Thank you my darling daughter Lisa. You have done a very good job. I am looking forward to the rest of it. The music brought tears to my eyes. oxox

    • Well Mum, I am going to get so much enjoyment out of this as I am so proud of my dad and all the wonderful things he achieved in his life! xxoo

    • Hey there extended family!

Aunty Ruth, i wasn’t as brave as you i didn’t let the music play!

Beautiful job Lisa for a beautiful man. Wow so much about him i never knew. Even talking to my dad and mum about it jogged their memories of these stories your dad shared over the years. To me, when i remember Uncle Gunter, i see him in a boat at Mannering Park surrounded by so many kids in life jackets with huge slices of watermelon and then i see him at the petrol station at Broadaxe. We always stopped in there on our way home after our stays especially to say bye to him. Funny the memories that we hold so dear. Our families were so lucky to spend such a great amount of time together when we were younger and i am so thrilled that even after time and distance we can share and enjoy each others lives and those precious memories again.

What a life he lived… And what an amazing daughter to share it in his honour.

      Love to all xxx

      • Thank you Natalie for sharing some more wonderful memories and please feel free to send me an email of any stories you and your family would like me to add to the page and a photo of those days would be great to if you have one. stay posted as this page is up dated on a regular basis. I didn’t know about Kurt and I wonder whether your father knew as he was under an impression that Kurt’s bad back was caused from an accident. Keep up the good work and please if any of the family can add to this do so, as it all part of the kuwert History. This is the most wonderful thing you could have done my gorgeous daughter. Love you oxoxoxoxo

Now I understand why he did not speak of it much Love to you both xxoo Stay Tuned for more to be added soon!

  26. I feel very fortunate to have met all my Dad’s(Heinrich) brothers. Uncle Gunter and Tante Ruth came to my wedding here in BC in 1990. I remember them as extremely loving people. I had an automatic emotional attachment to them, one you hope to have with your family.

Even though, the Australian Kuwerts are so far away, they are still very much a part of me. I am very proud of my Kuwert heritage and this site that Lisa has set up, is a testament to a very strong family bond. Even though the Kuwerts are spread all over the world and see each other, if ever, very rarely, there is an amazing connection there.

If only the world was just a bit smaller.
